Easter Gift Guide

@Chasing50toes' setlist of BEST TOYS for your baskets!

Here's our Holiday Gift Guide of BEST TOYS for kids AGED 2-4!

Domino and Juliette - ABC Find & Fit Puzzle

The Domino & Juliette ABC Find & Fit Puzzle is the only alphabet toy you need! The silicone pieces can be sorted, stacked, and thrown in sensory bins. The puzzle comes with a canvas storage bag making pick up a breeze. The best part: after a playdate or a messy craft session, simply throw the puzzle pieces into the dishwasher! No more wasting your time trying to wipe down individual pieces. The wooden tray is great for fine motor and matching skills and is full of colorful illustrations to match the alphabet pieces.

Ergo Baby Doll Carrier

There is nothing sweeter than imagination play that involves pretending to be mommy! My three daughters each have an Ergo Baby Doll Carrier and they get used regularly.

Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball Set

Here is a fun addition to every toy room. The Little Tikes Basketball Set comes with an adjustable basketball hoop and three plastic balls kids can use to play both inside and outside.

Playskool Sit 'n Spin Classic

Playskool Sit ‘n Spin Classic is a perfect toy for kids to practice balance, coordination, motor skills, or just to get their silliness out! We’ve had ours to years and they still fight over it!

Domino and Juliette - 123 Find & Fit Puzzle

Much like the ABC Find & Fit Puzzle, the 123 Find & Fit Puzzle is a versatile and durable puzzle that's made from silicone allowing it to clean up easily and withstand pulling, bending and even chewing! Are you not convinced you need a numbers puzzle? The tray is illustrated with cute illustrations allowing you to practice one-to-one correspondence with your little one. My kids love matching these pieces to our D&J placemats and lining up snacks next to each piece. When you start exploring double digit numbers, these pieces are perfect for learning! The Find & Fit is the perfect tool for early math learning through play!

My Little Pony

My daughters love My Little Ponies just as much as I did when I was little. They enjoy braiding the hair and using their imaginations for make believe play. Don’t forget about this classic!

Timber Tots Tree House

Santa brought my kids The Fat Brain Toys Timber Tots Tree House a few years ago and the kids still play with it often. It comes with two animal figurines and 10 accessories including a fun lift, swing, slide, and a hideaway. This one lives in our toy room but also finds its ways outside to play sometimes too!

Battat Mini Monster Trucks

If you can’t tell from my D&J creations, I value a good storage solution. I love when toys come with a storage bag (which is why all Domino & Juliette toys come with one!). Here is the perfect travel and beach toy for your truck lover! The Battat Mini Monster Trucks come with six mini monster trucks and a storage bag for easy on-the-go fun!

Kinetic Sand Construction Site Folding Sandbox

We gifted this set to my construction loving son for his third birthday and it’s pulled out once or twice a week for sensory play. He loves it! The Kinetic Sand Construction Site Folding Sandbox comes with a toy truck, 2lbs of play sand, brick molds, and a wrecking ball!

Brio World Lift and Load Warehouse

My kids love the Brio train sets and the World Lift and Load Warehouse Set was a birthday gift for my 4 year-old son that he’s obsessed with. It includes a four-level elevator, vehicles, tracks, and everything you need for a train station. It is a perfect toy for a toddler to express creativity.

Melissa & Doug Shopping Cart

The M&D Shopping Cart is a fun addition to a playroom. It has many kid-friendly features including easy grip-handles and a fold-open seat for dolls or stuffed animals. We’ve had ours for 5 years and it’s always being pushed around for something!

KidKraft Vintage Wooden Play Kitchen

Santa brought this kitchen set to our home in 2016 and it’s been getting played with daily ever since. I cannot recommend it enough! The KidKraft Vintage Wooden Play Kitchen is simple and not too large but detailed enough to spark imaginations. It comes with a pretend ice maker and a pretend phone. We have it in white, but it comes in multiple colors to adhere to all kids such as pink, blue and red.

Sunny Days Honey Bee Acress Buzzby Farmhouse

My kids LOVE Calico critters, but they are much too expensive for my liking. I found the perfect knock-off on Amazon, the Sunny Days Entertainment Honey Bee Acres Buzzby Farmhouse. It comes with 49 furniture accessories, as well as 2 exclusive figures. We’ve purchased a bunch of the figures separately too.

Magna-Tiles Builder Set

Our family is a loyal Magna-Tiles fan! This summer I purchased the Builder Set for my 4 year-old and he loves it. It is a great gift for kids to explore their creativity and build up fine motor and cognitive skills.

Scoop and Serve Ice Cream Counter

Another tested and true toy, the M&D Scoop and Serve Ice Cream Counter includes a wooden ice cream counter with ice cream scoops, toppings, cones, a cup, scooper tongs, pretend dollars, and a menu. We were gifted one of these 5 years ago, and it still lives in our toy room and is played with often.

Fisher Price Mega Blocks Big Building Bag

We have had a set of Mega Blocks for over 8 years and the set with the bag is still going strong!

Melissa and Doug Wooden Classic School Bus

M&D’s Wood Classic School Bus is a toy set including 7 figures that my kids enjoy for pretend play.

Melissa and Doug Dust! Sweep! Mop!

Every kid needs cleaning supplies! Thus is a realistic set for kids to build skills and support their development. It includes a pretend broom, mop duster, dustpan, and brush. My only complaint is that our storage rack broke after 4 years (not too bad). The kids still play with the pieces, but I liked it better with the rack.

Micro Kickboard Mini Deluxe Scooter

We own 4 of the Micro Kickboard Mini Deluxe Scooters. They live in the garage and get played with daily. My older kids still ride their scooters. You will use these for years. Enough said!

The Gruffalo

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler includes rhyming text and bright illustrations that are perfect for young readers. I only have our absolute favorite books on this list…if you don’t have this one yet, add it to your collection this holiday season.

Little Tikes T-Ball Set

We’re a sports family and I’d recommend this basic toy for outdoor or indoor play. The Little Tikes T-Ball Set includes a t-ball stand, bat, and 5 balls that children can utilize to develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and have fun while getting movement in. A great way to expose your little one to sports!

Hot Wheels Speedway Hauler Storage Carrier

Santa delivered the Hot Wheels Speedway Hauler Storage Carrier to my son 2 years ago and he plays with it constantly. It is a massive semi-truck that can store up to 22 vehicles and has a fold out track for racing.
