    Excellent design

I forgot to mention in my first review that I love the phonetic choices for the letters- it has definitely helped my son clue into the letter sounds. The fact that the uppercase and lowercase puzzle pieces are corresponding colors is helpful. And I appreciate that the lowercase p, b, d, and q all seem interchangeable so my son and I can discuss the similarities and differences without frustration over subtle nuance.

Such a great tool for learning

I have had such a fun time this summer introducing my 3.5 year old to lower case letters! He got the uppercase and numbers last year and we use them all the time. The sensory, playful design makes it much more fun than worksheets. We play with them with chalk, baking, ice, water, stamp pads, play doh, and more. I can tell this is laying such a positive foundation with learning. One of my son’s favorite games is to toss them all on a blanket and then we put on our pretend scuba gear and “dive” down to collect them and put them in the puzzle. These puzzles are the most versatile toys we own and definitely worth the money.

Second time purchasing! We love these!

This is our second time buying this puzzle, this time we purchased as a donation to my daughter’s Montessori classroom. The teachers and students all love them!

    Provided lots of open-ended play

Provided lots of open-ended play for my 3 1/2 year old grandson. Only criticism is the choice of a box picture for the letter x.

Cindy, thank you for your thoughtful feedback.

Regarding the choice of a box for the letter 'x', you're not the first customer to question this!

When teaching early reading, the most effective approach is to focus on the sound a letter most commonly makes — and for X, that’s the /ks/ sound you hear at the end of words like box, fox, or ax.

While “xylophone” and “x-ray” might seem like obvious choices, they actually introduce trickier sounds (like /z/ or the letter name), which can confuse new readers. Our approach follows the science of reading, which prioritizes consistent phonics and sound-symbol connections to help kids become confident, independent readers.

It might feel unexpected at first, but teachers and literacy experts agree: this method sets the strongest foundation for reading success.

Hopefully this helps shed light on why we've designed our best-selling puzzles in this way!

    Perfect!

These are exactly what I was looking for. I had been searching for both upper and lowercase puzzles for my toddler but also needed ones safe to be constantly out with a baby around and these are it! I looked for “cheaper” ones but didn’t have much luck or didn’t find any with great reviews. These are a hit so far!
